These rum balls are one of my favorite things to make for the holiday season — they are super easy, delicious, and Boozy! AND they make a great gift! Let’s make them.

Festive Rum Balls are THE coolest and most fun this holiday season - because - they incorporate DAY DRINKING! YAY! - Trust me friends ... make them small and 'popable' and your friends can pop as many as they want, without feeling guilty!

These gorgeous tasty treats come together in less than fifteen minutes leaving plenty of time for all of life’s distractions and merry-making! They can be decorated to suit any occasion. Make sure to use a good quality rum that you like and a good quality unsweetened cocoa. These two are super important, as they make the Rum Balls the tasty treat people come back for more for! A bitter rum, nah! A sweet dark rum, ooooh! You get it???

These tasty treats will last about two weeks if stored properly in an airtight container in the fridge. Or freeze for up to two months. These balls taste best after a couple of days in the fridge where the ingredients can co-mingle and the rum can mellow.

You will definitely taste the rum in these treats but isn’t that the plan?!?!? - Alas - it's holiday time - so WHO will have left over rum balls? I know we won't!

Secret Tip :: For a change of pace, substitute coconut rum, dark rum, or even spiced rum for the light rum. They are all so darn delicious.
Not a huge fan of corn syrup? No problem, use real maple syrup. You're welcome!

IDEAS TO DECORATE RUM BALLS WITH:
Dixie Crystals powdered sugar
cocoa powder
shredded coconut
sprinkles
crystal sugar
toasted coconut
finely chopped chocolate
or whatever tickles your fancy!
